We were accepted as a partner in the Allegheny Conference’s Strengthening Communities Partnership (SCP). The Allegheny Conference works in a 10 county region of western PA but focuses the SCP Program on 19 communities in the region. Historically, the Allegheny Conference was begun by Richard King Mellon and other major Pittsburgh financiers to partner with local government to renew Pittsburgh. Their first project was dubbed Renaissance I when Point State Park and Gateway Center were built. This partnership has already been a big help to us in receiving technical expertise and funding.
