NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTIES
In recognition of “National Night Out” each August, the CDC hosts block parties in various Beaver Falls neighborhoods.
National Night Out is a nation-wide effort to promote positive relationships between the police and the community and to build stronger neighborhoods.
Each year it falls on the first Tuesday of August.
In 2025 National Night Out was August 5th. (See below the 5 party locations this year)
The CDC helps Beaver Falls celebrate this night by providing all the necessary party basics (hot dogs, condiments, drinks, tableware, advertising materials, etc.) to community members who host the parties in their own neighborhoods.
We have had local churches sponsor these parties, and local businesses have donated resources. The city blocks off the roads for us, while City of Beaver Falls police officers and fire fighters visit each party. The last several years the police have paid an ice cream truck to come to each party!
The parties have been well attended and a successful opportunity to build a greater sense of community in Beaver Falls.
