The new CDC Membership
Starting in 2023, a committee was put together to restructure and redefine Membership through the CDC. The goal of the committee was to create a membership that was more accessible and inclusive to the citizens of Beaver Falls. As well as being more effective in getting members involved.
The committee’s Goals in creating the new membership structure were:
1. To mobilize for change
2. Define privileges or responsibilities
3. Inspire people to realize what they’re capable of – to solve problems
4. Not become a funnel for CDC specific involvement, but community involvement
5. Hear the needs of many (including business owners)
Through this they created the idea of the Community Conversations.
Community Conversations
The idea of the Community Conversations is to bring together people of all demographics that live in, or have a stake in, the community of Beaver Falls.
Members will be invited to join in these semi regular Conversations, with each Community Conversation having a specific topic in mind.
Each Conversation will include information on the topic, and sometimes expert guests, to have an informed and productive conversation.
It is important to us to have many voices, from many walks in our City at these conversations.
We want these conversations to help in creating both a positive outlook on Beaver Falls, and productive mindset when tackling issues and topics.
The Conversations are also a great way to get plugged into the Community, with opportunities to meet and socialize with other members and community leaders.
Why become a Member?
Membership comes with both perks and responsibility. As in anything, the more involved a Member is the more they will get out of Membership.
Starting in January of 2026 we have added some new features to our Membership.
These features include a new insiders email, “From the Desk of the CDC”, and a new section of the website that is accessible through a Members’ password.
This “Members Page” section host some additional information, archives of Community Conversation Reports and the insider emails, sign up forms, photo albums and more.
There will also be special give-a-ways for Members at the First Fridays.
Members are encouraged to come to all our CDC sponsored events and Community Conversations, but especially our Annual Meetings in June.

There is NO COST to become a Member. Though there is an option to give a donation, if you feel so led, at the end of the application.
NOTE, there are no longer any dues for Membership. If you were part of the old Membership structure in the past, we ask, if you have not already, to register with the new link, to ensure you are connected and receiving all the benefits of Membership.
