MAIN STREET REVITALIZATION AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

At the end of 2025, the Beaver Falls CDC was awarded an NPP to launch a six-year program that would focus on the revitalization and economic development of the business district on 7th Avenue.

The Neighborhood Partnership Program, or NPP, allows for corporate partners to financially sponsor a non-profit’s program in exchange for tax credits. The proposed plan must be submitted to the PA Department of Economic Development, with fully committed funding, for approval. (An application must be resubmitted each year of the program, with updates, to continue.)

The CDC is grateful to our funding partners for this project: Tri-State Bank, WesBanco and Agway Beaver.

In January of 2026, we began laying the foundations of this new program. These first steps included bringing together a Main Street Advisory Committee, meetings with organizations in Western PA and Eastern Ohio who have established and successful Main Street Programs, and hiring for the newly created position of Director of Main Street Revitalization.

The CDC is working closely with the City of Beaver Falls, and the Beaver Falls Business District Authority in these efforts to bring a vibrant and successful business district back to 7th Avenue.
